The issue was when I pull the trigger with a live round in the chamber it did not fire. I called today for an update and was told that my P365 went into the custom shop this morning for diagnosis and repair.
Doubtful SIG will make the P365 in 40, or 357 SIG, for that matter. 9 mm is the current "fave" and what's selling. That and there's the possibility the P365 isn't designed with enough strength margin to handle the larger cartridge. I carry a P229 in 40. USN ET1, 63-70.P365. The 17 round mags add a new dimension to the compact genre. It's a nice handgun, worth solid consideration but I'm getting rid of mine. I've got the original P365 and the XL.
I have many Sig pistols. Leigons this weekend I taught a concealed carry course in the New York area, two of my students had the P365 model. one may have been slightly different than the other but both pistols had trigger creep awful feel. The standard P365 release works fine for me, but some folks may want one a little bigger. I'd just be careful about any real modifications or aftermarket parts for warranty, EDC function, and liability reasons. I have a Sig flat trigger on my P365, but consider that a Sig designed option, not a modification.My P365 is 1/24 build, shot 495 rounds at first range visit with mixed ammo in 147, 124, and 115g in FMJ and JHP. The Shield RMSc Glass edition is a great choice, and their footprint is the one everybody copies for micro optics. If your p365 series pistol has the factory Sig optics cut, that's the same footprint pattern. Shield Sights are made in Britain. The Sig Romeo Zero and Zero Elite use the same pattern as the Shield.

Once the hammer is cocked after the first shot, the single-action weight is about 4.5 pounds. Your Ruger is right at 6 lbs.With all the talk regarding the new X Compact, I got to thinking how nice a X-P365 might be with a longer beavertail and a flat trigger. ... They will absolutely wear differently. 3) Just shoot it, you`ll be fine. I wouldn`t start worrying unless you see a cracked slide, or it stops working all together.
