I recently toured Bucknell and loved the setting - mountains, trees, etc. It may be a good fit but would love to find some other options that have similar types of settings. As for Bucknell, there are about 180 engineers in my 2nd year class of 900 or so. & there are 188 in the freshman year. Plus you have your science and math types as well. bucknell is a good engineering school so it draws its share of "nerds". Anyway, you meet many different types of people in college and very few people will feel left out.At some schools, it appears that ED really increases your chances of admissions. At others, not so much. My DD will be applying next year. She will probably have a 3.9-4.0 UW GPA, and a SAT in the 1300-1400 range, maybe a little higher. Bucknell will have more of a small school liberals arts feel, while Villanova has more of a pre professional university vibe. Academics strong at both schools. Business quite good at Villanova. Both have engineering. Bucknell probably stronger than Villanova for Humanities.
