The Dark Moon Greatsword is good, but compared to the Sword of Night and Flame, it's mediocre. The FP cost to buff the sword is too high, it activates too slowly (3.5 seconds is INSANE), and the buff doesn't last long enough. Night Comet on the Sword of Night and Flame is probably 20% overtuned IMO. Note: I have both of these weapons at +9.

Personally I like wing of astel far better than moonveil. Free ranged attacks on heavies and a weapon art that can sunblock a lot of bosses. I think the damage output of the wing is better and it's better for PvE. Moonveil is good for PvP but IMO not nearly as powerful for PvE. Have to say Astel Wing gets the W for me.
