Well, Corrupted Vitality is good for the first 9 levels. The Grotesque Excrescence perk heals more than the Fierce Vitality. Other than that, not worth losing the Fast Healer perk. Corrupted Authority is amazing if you corrupt 19 levels and choose the Well-Trained perk, since it affects all combat followers.

It heals about 3 health per hit, and thralls have 5,000+ health and zombies can easily have 17,000+ health. 3 health per hit doesn't matter, you won't heal enough during a fight to even notice. You might heal 100 health to your 6,000 health thrall during a prolonged boss fight, oh boy. The other perk option is better in every way. Works fine, at least for PvE (I don't play PvP). I run a Corrupted Str build wielding a maul. With the "Leggings of Karak" and 10 points in Grit I can light or heavy attack three in a row times before running out of stamina (the second heavy attack leaves me with 1 stamina left).
