Non uniformity correction.

This paper investigates the source of the non-uniformity of MWIR FPA CI, both in the captured low-resolution MWIR images and in the reconstructed high-resolution ones. According to the system model and the image super-resolution computation process of FPA CI, we propose a calibration-based non-uniformity correction (NUC) method for MWIR FPA CI.

The non-uniformity correction (NUC) methods can mainly be classified into two categories: reference-based and scene-based methods. Reference-based methods [4], [5], [6] require a uniform reference scene (e.g. shutter or blackbody) to obtain the difference in electrical signal response of each detector with the same radiation.Non-uniformity correction (NUC) adjusts for minor detector drift that occurs as the scene and environment change.
